Is to create enough excitement about your career that potential employers want to pick up the phone to call you. Everyday people tell us they don't want to put "too much" in their resume because they want prospective employers to call them so the can "sell themselves". Sounds good in theory, but the job market rarely works that way. Employers, like you, are too busy to call everyone that submits a resume, especially when most resumes don't say anything. "You never get a second chance to make a first impression." Your resume and cover letter are typically the first things potential employers see from you. Rightly, or wrongly, prospective employers think: If the person doesn't care enough to put together a resume that sells themselves, the likelihood they will successfully represent my hotel or company and make me money so I can be more successful and create more job opportunities for people is non-existent.
