Why Use Diagnostic Evaluations?
Rule

There are many Diagnostic Evaluations on the market. We studied over a hundred before selecting this one. We have used it since 1987. It is the most accurate evaluation (statistical validity of .804) of management style available. Additionally, it is the least expensive. The key to it's accuracy is that people evaluate themselves against a word. Competing products use sentences. As soon as sentences are used it becomes easy for the people taking the evaluation to figure out what the evaluation is trying to measure and then they can skew the results.

This Evaluation meets all EEO standards, etc.

It is very easy to administer and only takes people a few minutes to complete. The evaluation does not require a monitor which means manpower savings. It is written at an 8th grade vocabulary level so it can be given to hourly and management employees. The evaluation is scored by computer and then the computer prints out the results in a simple, easy to understand narrative. We can score the evaluations in our offices or sell you the software so you can do the evaluations on your own property. Either way results are available quickly, no lengthy waits.

Best of all it can not be "faked" or "skewed" without it being extremely obvious (all answers with the same score, etc.). We have administered it to over 4000 people. We have only had one person who questioned the accuracy of the evaluation.

People are always amazed at the amount of information identified. They don't understand the ongoing research that has gone into this evaluation. Nor do they understand that it has been in use for many years and is continually being refined. This evaluation is now available in several foreign languages. Developing the evaluation in foreign languages was a major undertaking. It is easy to take a word in English and simply translate the word into a foreign language. They quickly realized that was not enough. The accuracy of this evaluation in English is directly tied to the exact meaning of the word. When translated, the equivalent word in a foreign language may not have the same meaning to the people speaking that language. The company had to do extensive re-testing and often changed words to make sure it continued to measure the same characteristic.

Diagnostic Evaluations are only one of the tools companies should use during the hiring process. They do not replace interviewing, references, background investigations, drug testing, or common sense. Diagnostic Evaluations are very good at confirming whether a person will fit with your existing management team and the likelihood of their style succeeding in your position.
